The Apollo program, also known as Project Apollo, was the third United States human spaceflight program carried out by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, which succeeded in preparing and landing the first humans on the Moon from 1968 to 1972. 

Apollo Astronauts are minifigures that work for NASA's Apollo program. The Apollo Astronaut is from the Discovery theme. They are assigned different missions and are sometimes sent into space after vigorous training. Their missions include repairing systems that are damaged or outdated, landing on the Moon, or collecting research.
